Finally it was Sunday, After a busy day at work I was back home and there were too many plans on my #Checklist that needed to be done.
Writing some new stories, taking Chookie for yearly vaccination, buying groceries , Attending an event on Graphology, cooking and its a never ending list. I began my day writing some poems and then it struck my mind... ! It's SUNDAY.... !!
Time for Sunday Mass :)
And I decided to begin my day by attending Mass. It was 04:30AM, I woke up Dad and got ready to Leave for the first 06:00AM mass. Dad loves walking and so do I. After walking for an hour we reached Holy Cross Church, Kurla.
The homily said during the mass is something that I would like to share with you all. Short, Simple but has a lot of Value !
Here it goes...
A teacher was teaching kids of 2nd grade the multiplication table of 9.
9 X 1 = 9
9 X 2 = 17
9 X 3 = 27
9 X 4 = 36
9 X 5 = 45
.
.
.
.
.
9 X 10 = 90
While she was writing the entire multiplication table of 9, the kids began to laugh. She knew the reason why but still decided to remain Silent. She turned around once she finished writing and one boy stood up and corrected her.
" Ma'am, 9 twos are not 17 but 18".
She *Smiled* and said... " I know ". And she continued saying...
" Well, you all started laughing and you pointed out the only #Mistake I did while writing the table. No one mentioned about the other 9 that I wrote perfectly right.
* The students were silent *
" You see that's how Human nature is... We tend to overlook the good that a person does, we fail to remember the countless good deeds done by a friend but we do remember the 1 or 2 mistakes done unintentionally. And those few mistakes make a lot of difference in relationships, Cos our human mind is designed in such a way that we tend to remember things that causes HURT rather than focusing on what made us SMILE".
Mass was Over. I was back home and my mind wasn't focused on the tasks that needed to be done. The Sermon was so True ! We all tend to forget and neglect the 'GOOD' that a person does but remember the 'BAD' for the rest of our lives.
This reminded me of a friend I had months ago, who was so kind, down to earth, caring, the closest thing to my heart. We promised to stay together in Good times and Bad. Promised to hold hands and never let go. Not let the other person fall. We did countless good deeds for each-other. The Mantra to our happy-go-lucky friendship was the key line : "I'll be there for you..."
We were there for each-other, but one single storm and the foundation our of friendship collapsed. Months of togetherness are now turned to #Memories.
A Year go we were #STRANGERS, and now after knowing each other so well we still live like we've never known each other ! Time changes... Yes ! Time changes, our priorities change and so do #WE !
So strange how people change and Move on. And live their lives as if they never knew each other. It's so strange how people forget the countless favors and remember One bad experience for the rest of their lives.
" I'll be there for you is what we promised each other... I'm there for you but sadly you are not here for ME "
I wish people could let go the bad memories and give a second chance... I wish people could understand and never let go on something worth fighting for !
But like they say... " It takes years to WIN someones trust, but only seconds to break it ! "
Well, This is #LIFE... I still wish people would remember the things that made them SMILE rather than having bitterness in their heart for a few bad experiences that made them cry, the WORLD would be a better place to #Live in !

Promises broken, And so is my HEART <3
